Natasha is a loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in November 2020. Support from family and friends keeps her going, along with music from her favorite band, Def Leppard, and the anticipation of going to Disneyland again.
Natasha needed a stem cell transplant to help save her life. She is of Chinese Jamaican descent. Further, her family are Hakka. Stem cell recipients need a donor from a similar ethnic background. However, Chinese donors make up only 0.7% of the national registry. Natasha found her life saving donor and underwent a stem cell transplant in September 2021.
